How are you guys?! I really am just having the time of my life down
here in the sunshine. I think I forgot how much I just LOVE being a
missionary. It is seriously the best thing in the world.
I am currently serving in the Anaheim East Stake, Yorba Linda 4th ward.
They are so wonderful and easy to love. I'm grateful for the time I am
getting to spend here, even though it is so different from any other
place I have ever served. It's so so nice. Like I almost don't know
what to do with myself. It's a little bit weird but man I love it.
Everyone has been so kind about my whole food situation too! We have
had dinner every night, and there is always a sister moon plate set to
the side. They really are so lovely.
I'm in a trio! Everyone says trios are the worst thing in the world,
but for serious we are having a blast! Sister Burgess and I were in
the MTC together. She's from Logan:) Sister Vakameilalo is from Tonga :)
they are both just total crack ups!
We have one pretty solid investigator. He is the father of
a part member family and he's just awesome! His name is Bob and I
seriously just love him already. If you could pray for him this week
that would be really sweet. He is having a difficult time with faith.
He just is so stinking logical! Haha:) but we are getting to a pretty
critical time so your prayers would be appreciated:)
Easter we walked around this MASSIVE park with hundreds of people and
we just walked around and showed the Easter video. I'm definitely
braver than my companions as far as talking to everybody... That used
to scare me so bad but after a little time in Australia I'm a freakin
weirdo. But we got a lot of people to watch and it was awesome! We
had dinner with a family named the Browns. They were great! We dyed
Easter eggs and had a fun little egg hunt! Good little Easter!
we went on a really fun hike today:) it's good to be outside! It
rained like crazy! But it was so fun. I'll send pictures!
In my studies today I was reading in Nephi chapter 8 and had a awesome
little insight. It's talking about the vision of the tree of life and
at the beginning of the chapter Lehi talks about how he was at the
tree of life and in verse 14 he saw his family and they did not know
where to go. I thought about how faithful and obedient these people
were yet they did not know where to go to get to the tree until Lehi
summoned them. No matter how obedient and and faithful we are, just
like Nephi, we can't get to where we need to be without a prophet
leading and guiding us. I'm so grateful for conference And I am so
excited to hear from our prophet! Watch it! The church is true kids.
Have a safe and happy week!
Love you all:)
