Oh my goodness. I don't even know where to start. This has truly been
an INCREDIBLE week. We spent a lot of time with the Kurek kids this
week. We had a good ole time checking in on them every night,(plus
they have free food and we love free food!) I love those kids so much!
They are actually moving back to bear lake here really soon. I am so
grateful that we can be buddies even when I go home! We talk about our
future adventures together probably too much, but Small airplanes,
motorcycles, and crazy birds are just too exciting not to talk about!
*side note* they taught their bird to say my name! Pretty sweet eh? We
were able to teach a lot of the less actives this weeks which is one
of my favorite things. It's really cool to see someone's little flame
burn a little brighter every time you see them to the point where you
see the fire of their conversion ignite. We have a lot of reactivity
going on in the ward and it is incredible to watch and be apart of.
Saturday was Mormon helping hands day for the stake. We got to plant
trees and it was a total blast. We hung out with Laura and Vanessa the
whole time. Seriously some of my greatest friends. Then came Sunday!
Oh my gosh. Seriously I can't even describe how many absolute miracles
came to pass. Best day of my whole mission. Serious. We had 6
investigators at church. SIX. that's MASSIVE. I've never in my whole
life had any more than one investigator at church till this area. It's
nuts! Ryan came with Brother Mayans(my ward mission leader) and he
LOVED it. The priests had a lesson about the Holy Ghost and as he sat
and listened he turned to Brother Mayans and said, I have felt this
feeling before, and for the first time in my whole life I know what to
call it. Tears. Seriously. Bob was there which is always a joy. I love
that man. Every time I see him he gives me a big old hug. I, seriously
shocked every time! He's such a good man. Just gotta get him in that
water! We had a little boy in a part member family come to church
today. He is so hungry to the gospel. It's amazing to see in just a
nine year old boy. We had a woman named Isabel and her daughter
Christina come to church. They have been investigators in the past but
decided to come to church today. One of our amazing sisters teaches
her daughters primary class and after church felt prompted to say to
Isabel, "do you want to take the lessons from the sisters and be
baptized with your daughter?" Isabel then looked at her and said,"my
daughter can be baptized too? " after nodding her head Isabel just
started shouting for joy. "yes! We can be together! Yes!" Such a
tender experience. Last but not least we had a girl named Kendal come
with her best friend to church. About a month ago, one of our new
beehives asked if she could have a Book of Mormon and told us she had
someone to give it to. As we walked past the yw room, we were stopped
by Hopes(the beehives) mom and she told us this girl was at church and
we should go to beehives. We snuck right in there and were able to
participate in an awesome lesson! Kendal made like a billion comments
and shared a testimony that the Book of Mormon has changed her life
and she loves it so much. WHAT!?! This has never happened in my life!
After class her and Hope were speeding down the hallway and I am legit
running after this girl. I finally catch her and asked her if she
would like to take lessons from the missionaries, she gave me the look
like,"finally someone got to the point" she said yes and told me that
she had been reading the Book of Mormon and she loves it so much
because it helps her when life is crazy. It the most beautiful thing
ever to see her little eyes just light up when she talked about it. I
told her we would come over and she seriously gave me the biggest hug
and said thank you so so much. It was amazing. After church we tracted
from 2-8. It was insane but went by so fast. We found 10 new
investigators and gave out 13 Books of Mormon! I wish I could tell you
what happened at every door cause guys, these people are amazing. We
have return appointment after return appointment this next week and k
seriously have no clue where we are gonna fit them all in but serious,
every one of them is SOOO keen. Like magically keen. Best day of my
life.
I have a testimony of this gospel. I know that the people of this
world need what we have! Everyone of them! I can't even count the
amount of times someone has told me, "this area won't baptize." "It's
impossible to knock doors here." "People her just are way to
comfortable the way they are here." No! That's not true! We are called
to cry repentance to EVERY nation, EVERY tongue, EVERY people, not
just the ones who seem less scary, or more convenient. We must talk to
everyone, or we are literally denying people the opportunity to
utilize the atonement. So be brave guys! There are people in your area
of the vineyard who need the gospel too.

How are you all doing! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Shout
out to Mamma Moon. All moms gave birth to a child but mine gave birth
to this legend;) it was awesome to talk to my family and see their
beautiful faces:)
This week has been wonderful! We had the opportunity to teach a boy
named Ryan this week and put hi, on date to be baptized June 4th:) oh
my hector I am heaps excited! He is gold and so keen. He has so many
questions and when we shared about the first vision he stop and was
really quiet and then whispered. "That is miraculous". Yeah. So so
excited.
We also met another family this week. Maeva, Gonzalo , Gonzalo, and
Manuel. They have just moved from Guadalajara and they are also so
gold. The Lomelis ( my favorite family on this earth)  invited them
over for dinner on Sunday. They have such a strong belief in Jesus
Christ. It's inspiring.
We have been working with many less actives and guess what?! They are
coming to church! It's crazy! We had 4 or 5 families at church
yesterday who haven't been in years. Oh my gracious. Blessings.
They call this the land of prosperous living, but I'm thinking it's
more like the land of prosperous teaching! :) I'm a happy happy
sister.
I love you all so much and think of you all so often. Thank you all

Hello my lovelies:) it's been a great week here in the happiest place
on earth, although it's been so insanely busy, I can hardly believe
it's only been a week! The week before transfers tend to be this way
but my golly! We are working really hard down here. This area is
pretty difficult as far as finding goes. We try to knock doors and
street contact when possible, but it is often fruitless. We have
really been working on member involvement. We have been helping the
families in the ward establish familiy mission plans and it has been
so cool to watch the ward get so pumped about missionary work. This
weeks highlights include:

Monday we had to run down to the mission office because our car
battery quit on us. Elder Anderson, the senior missionary in the
office, is one of my besties. He always wants teach me all about cars
every time I see him and I'm pretty sure I'll be one of the first
automobile office sisters ever;) nbd.

 Greatest tender mercy of the week... HORSES. Oh my goodness I coulda
died. Seriously. The elders have this less active family in their area
that has this massive horse ranch and they needed some service done.
Stepping on the lot was like taking a mini vacation from California to
home. You just about forget there is city everywhere around us. We
weeded and built corrals and did all sorts of work. We spent hours
there. I got fried. I guess sunscreen is an important part of being
the whitest girl in the nation... Whoops! We had such a good time and
it was a much needed get away. We even got to share a Book of Mormon
with one of the employees at the ranch.

So.... I ran into a bush. With my car. It was real responsible. At the
time it really wasn't that funny.. But ha. What can you do but laugh!
There was a detour because of an accident on that same road and I took
the wrong lane to the detour so all of a sudden there a car speeding
at me and it was either the car or the bush. So I took out this
massive bush in the median. I've adopted this bush now.. I feel a
personal responsibility to help the bush come back to some sort of
health.

Sunday was such an awesome day. We sat in the very back corner of the
chapel for sacrament. As we sat through the service, investigator
after investigator came through the doors and started to pile in. We
had 4 very less active families walk in too! It was insane! I was just
so stinking excited. That is seriously an insane miracle.

Transfer week.... I don't like transfers at all. They make me so sad
to see all my friends move. Sister V and I will be staying  in the
Yorba Linda 4th ward together. Thank the stars! But all my favorite
people are just leaving me! Elder Meyers has been moved, and sister
Hawkins, Sister Anderson and Sister Lorton have been split up and are
still serving in the zone. You get so close to the missionaries you
serve with, it's sad to see them go but they are gonna smash it.

Holy Cannoli!
Pday again? These weeks just fly by! This week has been one for the
books that's for sure! Last Monday we got a call from President saying
that sister Burgess needed to be Emergency transferred over to Anaheim
because another sister needed to get home. So just like that I'm back
to leading an area I know nothing about with a non English speaking
companion. This is seriously the story of my mission hey? It just
feels so soon for such a big responsibility. I still feel so green!
But it's been great, other than the fact that I can't drive in this
place to save my life! Pray for me, actually pray for my companion...
I'm sure I scare her to death! This week has definitely been full of
interesting experiences. We have had NO time to proselyte this week
which is always hard, but we've been so busy doing other things that
we just couldn't fit anything else in! Friday we moved a family out
with 16 other missionaries. Our elders are seriously amazing. They
help us out so much. While moving, we were introduced to kind of a
dangerous situation. Elder Meyers sent us home with in minutes and he
and Elder Thomas finished the move by themselves. Saturday was the
emergency preparedness fair. It was so super fun! We passed out
bookmarks with scriptures on them and cards teaching people how to
pray for 72 hour kits. It was a big hit! We sang and got tattoos... ;)
we built Popsicle stick houses! It really was a ball. There were heaps
of booths with lots of interesting things to stay prepared in case of
emergency. There was this booth with all these tasers!(and you all
know how bad I want a taser!) Elder Meyers is my district leader and
he is seriously so bomb. He wanted me to practice on him so if I ever
get one I'm not a danger to society;) it was so funny. Buzzed him
pretty good, but the noise of the taser scared me so bad I don't think
I want On my way! Anymore... We were able to prepare the baptistery
for our friend Lisa's sons baptism. It was such a neat experience.
Lisa has been a convert of 5 years and I seriously just adore her. Her
children slowly followed suit and yesterday her last son was baptized.
It was such a beautiful baptism. The whole family was very involved
and it was just so cool watching Lisa's dreams come true. Kyle was so
awesome and so prepared! President and Sister Taggart came. It's
always so good to see them. I sometimes feel so overwhelmed with all
there is to be done and the small amount of time, but the Taggarts are
so good at making me feel like I'm doing enough. I swear president
told me he loved me every 2 minutes:) (I think he just feels guilty
about leaving me here;)) but it's a good thing cause I need to be told
I'm loved as often as they tell me! This is hard stuff! Saturday night
we pull up to the apartment and pull into the garage and almost
immediately our car died. So we called our super elders to come help
us once again. Sister V, my Tongan princess pushed the car all the way
out of the garage and up the street to wait for the elders(seriously
she is so beast sometimes I worry for my life;)) the elders came and
charged the car and went to test it out and came back with more
COCONUTS. Elder Meyers and Elder Thomas have bought me coconuts before
and every time  they are so sick. But this time they assured us that
they looked for the most islander person in the store to pick out our
coconuts. They were so excited, but the minute we cracked it the room
just smelt rancid. It was pretty sick. Nasty coconuts have become
traditional in our district officially. It's so funny!  Sunday was
such a good day. Sunday feels so awesome, especially after the crazy
week we have had. We had a farewell for one of the young men in the
ward and it was so great to hear how excited he is about serving.
Reminded me of my own farewell and all the emotions and excitement
that came with that. It's such a blessing to serve as a missionary.
I'm so grateful to be out here. Thank you all for your love and

 Hello my dear loved ones!
> How in the world are you people? I am seriously just loving the pictures and emails from so many of you. Its so glad to see your beautiful faces and hear about all your adventures!
> I am doing really well! This week has be really rainy which is great. California has had such a dry little bit. We pray for rain everyday so it is great to receive some moisture. We've had a rough week. All of our progressing investigators have decided to take a break for a while. Thats always hard but life as a missionary. We are being blessed so much though. We are doing a lot of finding and seeing miracles in our area every day. The Bishop in our ward is amazing! Seriously love that man. We got together this week and made some goals together and I am just really pumped. The California Anaheim mission turns 50 here in June! As a part of that President Taggart  has challenged us as a mission to get 50 baptisms in the month of June. To say that is a stretch is an understatement. That is nearly doubling our monthly baptism average, but I am really excited and know that we can do it. As a ward we have decided that we can get 2 baptisms to contribute to that in the month of June. I am so excited to see the miracles and blessings we receive as we put our faith in the Lord to bring 2 people into the covanant of baptism. It will be amazing! Please be praying for us. We are going to have to bust our bums to be able to do this but we know without a doubt it is possible! Other than that, not a whole lot to report. I get homesick still, I get Australia-sick still, and I guarentee I am lacking in vitamin SEA, but I am so grateful to be where I am. I know I am where I am supposed to be. I am so grateful for this gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ. Pray this week for a chance to share His love this week. I know someone around you needs it, and I know our Heavenly Father will lead you to them. Have a blessed week ya'll.

HEY YOU GUUUUUUUYS!
How are you people?! I am having a great time (surprise!) in my little
home away from home:) Its been such an awesome week and it literally
blows my mind that it is P-day once again! This week we have kept busy
which is always such a blessing as a missionary, there really is
nothing worse than having nothing to fill your time and having to come
up with things to do! We had the chance to go to Mary's kitchen this
week which is one of my favorite things from when I was here the first
time! It was so awesome to catch up with the people there and be apart
of that awesome organization once again. We had many opportunities to
place books of Mormon this week, and im starting to pick up my little
Spanish and have taught 2 lessons this week in Spanish. I just hope it
gets better cause people still look at me like im a crazy white girl.
but its getting better. My companions are still just total crack ups!
Seriously we can not stop talking! Its a problem. We had president
interviews this week and he was teasing us that we are a party every
minute of every day! We had to tell him we could never stop talking
and it was like having a sleep over every night! He laughed! He
thought it was so great how much we like each other but did emphasize
the importance of sleep;) hahaha! Missionary work has its own set of
struggles! This week I have gained such a strong understand and
gratitude for the enabling power atonement. This work is so impossible
without it. I love my savior Jesus Christ. He truly is a God of
Miracles. I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love and miss all so
much. Keep on Keeping on!
