Holy Hot!!!

Well Hi There!
I hope y'all are doing well and just as happy as can be. This week has
been a warm one. Holy Hannah! Hot doesn't even cover it. But I love
the sun so I can't complain too much! The area is still on fire! Talas
we be baptized this Saturday by.... RYAN! Oh my gosh! Is this real
life?! My recent convert is baptizing his little brother! It's unreal.
Too much joy. Other adventures of the week as seen below. Too much fun
with my sis.
Bittersweet announcement. My dear companion is training!! Yay! She
seriously will be so perfect, but that kicks me out of my beloved 4th
ward. I have loved this area more than words. I have grown so much and
seen absolute miracles. I'm sad to be leaving but I feel at such
peace. I feel like I have done my part here and it's someone else's
turn. I will be transferred to the Placentia ward. I'm excited to get
working! The church is true kids. If you don't know that yet, I invite
you to study the Book of Mormon and pray and ponder about it. I know
you will receive an answer just as I have. Just do it!
Love you heaps a lot Kay?

Sister Moon

Sister Moon Learning to open a coconut

Recently Sister Moon sent us a collection of videos of some of her mission experiences.  You might recall that because Sister Moon is on a very restricted diet her District Leaders asked what they could bring for a treat.  Her response was, "fruit".The next District Meeting her and her companion were given coconuts.  This video is Sister V teaching Sister Moon some skills.

California Anaheim Mission 50th Year Celebration.

This is Sister Moon and other missionaries performance of a Polynesian dancing.

This is Sister Moon and the other Sisters preparing for that dance.  I think they got a little distracted.HAHAHA

Gotta get back to work!

Well hey guys!
I'm real sorry I didn't write last week! It was a little bit of a
crazy week, so hopefully I can fill you in on the basics of the past
couple weeks! The Fourth of July was so much fun:) man I love that
holiday! We woke up and ran the stake 5K which was all sorts of fun.
We then went to a breakfast at the Bishop Solsbees, the bishop of the
neighboring ward, house. He had his whole neighborhood which was fun.
We then went and participated in the Anaheim Hills parade. We had 100
missionaries carrying American Flags. It was so awesome. Such a neat
day. We had a few barbecues at members later and it just felt happy!
We had Pday on Tuesday! Our zone bought like 1000 water balloons and
so we played water balloon capture the flag which gets, pretty intense
I would have you know! We have been helping little Louanne with some
service every week. It's been really great and just the few hours a
week we spend there have completely changed her world so much. She had
a son pass away a few years ago, and we have been helping her sort
through his stuff. It's been kind of an emotional deal, but you can
just see the weight lift off her shoulders as we are there helping her
handle such a big project. Friday! Aubrey, former known as Sister
Zemp, my best friend, my sissle, my momma Z, was in town and her and
her parents took us to lunch. Seriously one of the best days ever! It
was so fun to be with her. I love that girl. Yup really do just find
the most glorious people while serving a mission. I lucked out with
that buddy! In a nut shells that's my life! Tune in next time folks!
Love yous!

Something in the Water.

June 27, 2016
Well hello friends:)
What a wonderful week it has been! I am so excited to say that we not
only made our goal of 2 baptisms in June but surpassed it equaling 3
of the most beautiful baptisms I have ever seen in my whole life.
These people have been true miracles sent from God. Isabel and
Christina were baptized this Saturday. I don't think I've ever seen a
more beautiful sight then these two beautiful woman dressed in white
enter into the waters of baptism. To say that I absolutely adore them
is is an understatement. They have forever changed me. I am so
grateful to be able to see the change that happens when someone
accepts the atonement of Jesus Christ and accesses I through baptism.
I can even express that light that comes into them. It is night and
day different. The baptism was wonderful. A little girl Chirstinas age
spoke about baptism and it was pretty much the most precious deal in
the world. I was able to sing, and the baptisms were then performed by
an 18 year old boy in the ward who works with Christina ice skating.
It was perfect... Until they came out of the water and we realized
there were NO TOWELS.... DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN. After a few moments of
panic, Bishop Dalton came to the rescue with super nice relief society
table clothes.... It was a total crack up. I'm sure they'll forgive us
right? Compared to that the rest of the week sounds pretty average. We
rode the elders bikes all day one day and serious... The scariest bike
ride of my life. I couldn't touch the ground on my bike so to get on
it I had to prop my self on to a wall and jump on.. I'm sure I looked
pretty goofy trying to do all this in a skirt. Memories! Hahaha!
Anyways! I love you all so much! Keep on Keeping on Kay?
Love,
Hermana Luna
